Kennesaw, GA · Interior common-area LED retrofit
A 552,735-square-foot retail power center in Kennesaw, Georgia, anchored by Target, At Home, Best Buy, Ross, and TJ Maxx. Served by Georgia Power, this large-format center in the northwest Atlanta suburbs draws heavy daily traffic.
The Problem
After nearly three decades of operation, the interior common areas were showing their age — inconsistent light levels, frequent lamp failures, and a mix of color temperatures that detracted from the shopping environment.
The Approach
We completed the interior retrofit in March 2021, converting every interior fixture to LED. Wallpacks and recessed cans transformed the common area corridors, entrances, and service areas. Every fixture was matched to provide consistent color temperature and light output throughout the interior spaces.
The Results
$19,295 in total annual savings. Maintenance savings of $15,002 annually were a major driver — eliminating the constant lamp replacements in hard-to-access interior fixtures. The modernized lighting improved the overall shopping atmosphere and brought the property's common areas in line with the standards expected by its national-brand anchor tenants.
