Canyon Springs is an open-air retail center in Southern California that needed a complete exterior lighting overhaul. The aging HID system created uneven coverage and dark spots across the parking field. We delivered a full LED retrofit that brought the property up to a consistent standard.
The Problem
The existing metal halide system was a patchwork of different fixture ages and vintages. Some poles were nearly dark while others were still producing. The parking lot had visible dark spots, tenants were noting fewer evening visits, and the property management team was fielding safety complaints.
The Approach
We audited every pole and building-mount fixture, designed an IES-compliant LED layout that delivered uniform coverage across the full parking field, and coordinated with property management to phase the install around tenant operating hours. No disruption to the shopping experience.
The Results
The retrofit delivered uniform coverage across the entire property, eliminating the dark spots and inconsistencies that defined the old system. Post-install light-level measurements confirmed consistent, IES-aligned coverage across every zone of the site.
