Operating disruption

BR Williams runs third-party logistics across multiple warehouse footprints. The aging high-bay HID system was dim, slow to restart, and a constant maintenance headache. We retrofitted the facility with high-bay LED — and the drone footage tells the rest of the story.

The Problem

The existing metal halide high-bays were producing well below their original lumen output. Pickers were squinting in the aisles, lift drivers were complaining about depth perception, and any time a fixture failed it took 15 minutes to restrike. Maintenance was replacing ballasts and lamps almost every week.

The Approach

We mapped the existing fixture grid, calculated foot-candle targets for the actual rack heights, and specified high-bay LED fixtures rated for the ambient temperature and ceiling height. Phased install kept the warehouse operational. Old fixtures came down, new ones went up, and the lighting transformation was immediate.

The Results

The transformation is dramatic — the before/after shows it. Aisles that were dim and uneven are now uniformly bright. Pickers can read labels at distance. Lift drivers have full depth perception. Maintenance call queue dropped to near zero. And the energy bill dropped right along with it.
